This is a limited review based on a single take-out order during the COVID 19 s...t storm; so I post w/ that caveat. My wife and I ordered their Eggplant Parm special. It is advertised as dinner for two, including salad, pasta and bread. My wife and I added two sides of meatballs, because at the price of $2 plus change per order; how could you go wrong; right? On the whole we were very satisfied. The portion of eggplant parm was a little light (there were no leftovers), but it was good and satisfying. The pasta that came w/ the parm (ziti) was way over-cooked; but the sauce was very good. I know how restaurant kitchens work. They usually pre-cook the pasta, throwing a pre-cooked portion into a pot of boiling water that is kept on the burner to finish it. That's fine, and having worked in plenty of kitchens myself, I know that it is easy to overcook pasta this way. A couple of minutes of distraction and you go from just south of al dente, to way to soft. So I don't really fault them for this; bit just saying. Some kitchens like the pasta very soft. We'll see next time. The salad was a cut above the usual bland offering you might expect from a restaurant at this price point. I applaud any restaurant owner who adds onion to their house salad! Also some green pepper and cherry tomatoes. It was a good salad. I was very impressed by the half loaf of what appeared to be a home baked bread. It was crusty, yeasty, warm and delicious. That was a very nice touch! Finally, the meatballs were excellent. They had a bit of spicy kick to them, and for the price, they were great. The whole meal came to about $25; which is a bargain. We'll be back for more Covid take-out; and we'll surely head over to The Hill for a sit-down dinner once things return to some semblance of "normal".

My wife and I had dinner here, last night (8/10), it was the 1 Year anniversary for the restaurant. We started off with baked oysters and a stuffed mushroom cap. The oysters were tasty but I think the sausage stuffing over powered their delicate flavor. The mushroom cap was filled with a sausage based stuffing that had a bit of back end pepper flavor. This didn't bother us at all. We enjoyed the mushroom and would order both, again. For our main courses, I had the veal and peppers and my wife had seafood chowder. The veal was fork cut tender and the tomato sauce was spot on. From my wife, the seafood chowder was very good but a bit rich for her. Portions were large enough that we had food for the next day. We did not have dessert due to we were meeting friends for drinks afterward, on their patio. Our waiter was very personable and attentive to all of the things we needed. Overall, we are looking forward to returning to The Hill in the near future. If you are in the area, I don't think you will be disappointed! Give them a visit.

Still takeout only but great service and delicious food. We had Chicken Alfredo, Baked Ziti with Meatballs, and Mozz Sticks for the little one. All was excellent and the homemade bread was delicious. The salad could have been a little fuller but for the price it was very fair.
